Web Development & Tools

Have a website built – plus calculators, configurators and tools

Web development for modern websites and custom tools: online calculators, configurators and lead magnets – with SEO/GEO from day one.

Short answer

I build modern websites and custom tools – from idea to hosted product. That includes company sites, calculators, configurators, comparison portals, and lead magnets. I think content, SEO/GEO, and tech together from the start, not as an afterthought.

Good marketing doesn't stop at copy. Often a clever tool decides whether a visit becomes an inquiry – a valuation calculator, a comparison, a configurator, or an interactive guide. I develop exactly those websites and tools myself.

My own projects – papa.de, schoettler.immo, and makler-ohv.de – are grown platforms with self-built functions. That experience flows into client projects: concept, design, development, and hosting from one hand. What a project can cost you can estimate with no obligation in the website calculator.

Keyword clusters: website, tools & web development

Modern website with clear layout and performance

People search differently: some want a website built, others a concrete tool, others a modern technical base for SEO and GEO.

Websites that are fast, modern, and findable

A website is more than a digital business card. It must load fast, work on every device, be understandable for search engines and AI, and lead visitors to action. I build on a modern foundation – performant, maintainable, and designed for visibility from the ground up.

Whoever wants a website built often faces the same question: patch WordPress or rebuild? On grown installations with plugin chains, slow themes, and messy structure, a rebuild is often the cheaper path – not because WordPress is bad, but because the technical debt mountain costs more than a clean start.

Especially with older or grown WordPress installations the step often pays off: instead of keeping plugins and workarounds alive, a clean rebuild is often implemented faster, cheaper to maintain, and more findable. SEO, GEO, and conversion aren't add-ons – they're built in.

You don't have to worry about anything. I handle implementation and setup; you calculate the range upfront in the website calculator.

Custom tools that create real value

Calculator, configurator, and comparison as interactive tools

The difference often comes through interaction. A calculator, configurator, or comparison gives visitors instant value – and turns viewers into prospects. Instead of a boring contact form you get a tool that generates leads.

I develop such tools to fit: we clarify which interaction has the most value for your target audience, and I implement design, logic, and connections where needed.

An online calculator or configurator qualifies leads automatically: whoever invests three minutes in your logic is seriously interested than someone who only types "price?" into a form. You get inquiries with context – budget range, requirements, decision stage – instead of empty contact requests.

  • Calculators & configurators: Instant value for visitors – and qualified inquiries for you.
  • Comparison & portal pages: Data-driven orientation that builds trust.
  • Lead magnets: Interactive entry points instead of standard forms.
  • Booking & member areas: Where sensible: appointments, login, protected content.

Next.js as the base for fast, maintainable websites

For most projects I use Next.js – a modern React framework that combines performance, SEO, and development speed. Pages are delivered server-side or statically, images optimized, code split. Result: fast load times, good Core Web Vitals, and architecture that scales.

Next.js isn't an end in itself. The advantage is the combination: clean URLs, machine-readable structure, fast delivery, and the ability to integrate interactive tools – calculators, configurators, filters – seamlessly into the same website. No plugin zoo, no theme compromises.

Web development for me also means maintainability. Code you can still extend in two years without rewriting everything. That's why I document decisions, keep components lean, and avoid over-engineering. You get a product that works – not a technical museum.

Hosting and deployment are part of the concept: fast CDN delivery, SSL, sensible caching strategy. If you want to maintain content yourself, I integrate a headless CMS – copy and pages without a developer, code and design stay stable.

Online calculators and configurators: leads with substance

Standard contact forms ask for name and message – and deliver little context. An online calculator or configurator first answers a target audience question: What does it roughly cost? Which variant fits? How much does that save?

That's why I build such tools regularly – for property valuations, price indications, product configurations, or comparisons. The logic comes from your expertise, the implementation from my development. Result: visitors stay longer, understand your offer better, and inquire with more qualified requests.

Real value matters, not gimmicks. A calculator that only collects email addresses without delivering value hurts trust. Better: transparent assumptions, understandable results, optional next step to conversation. That creates a lead magnet that strengthens SEO and conversion at once – because users want to share, link, and find the content again.

Technically calculators hang on the same Next.js base as the rest of the website. No isolated iFrames, no slow third-party widgets. Data can – if desired – connect to CRM or newsletter, but only as far as needed.

Marketing and tech from one hand

Layers of frontend, content, SEO/GEO, and hosting

Many projects fail at the interface: one agency writes, one designs, someone else builds – and SEO comes "later." With me content, structure, and code interlock.

That means: clear service pages, clean semantics, structured data, speed, and conversion paths from day one. If you additionally need visibility or inquiries from ads, we connect SEO, GEO, or paid ads sensibly – without double work.

That way you avoid the classic relaunch mistake: beautiful new website but no search-strong copy, no schema, no clear lead path. I think web development and marketing together from the start – not as two separate projects.

Process: from idea to launch

Project flow from idea to launch

Transparent and in clear steps – you keep overview.

  • Idea & goal: What should the site or tool achieve? Inquiries, orientation, automation?
  • Concept & design: Structure, user path, visual direction – pragmatic and brand-fit.
  • Development: Implementation, connections, content, SEO/GEO base.
  • Launch & support: Go-live, hosting setup, handoff or ongoing development.

Who this pays off for especially – and when not

Makes sense when you need a modern base, want to win leads through tools, or an messy old site slows you down. Less sensible when you only need a single page without ambition and want to handle every change yourself in a builder – then I'll say so honestly.

Small shops with manageable assortment I implement. Very large shop systems are often better with specialists – I'll clarify that openly too.

Examples, hosting, and further development

My own platforms show what's possible: papa.de as a content portal with filter and newsletter logic, schoettler.immo with valuation calculators and appointment scheduling, makler-ohv.de as a comparison portal. Not as showroom slides but as running products – with the same demands on speed, value, and lead quality I set for client projects.

After launch good web doesn't end. Content changes, offers grow, tracking and SEO need care. We optionally agree support: smaller iterations, new tool modules, performance checks. Or you maintain via CMS yourself and I come in only for extensions.

Important for GEO and SEO: architecture must stay machine-readable. Semantics, schema, clean URLs, and fast delivery aren't nice-to-haves. If you additionally want to grow content and visibility ongoing, we combine the technical base with SEO or AI Search & GEO.

Before kick-off we clarify scope, milestones, and budget. The website calculator gives a range; the binding offer follows after the intro call. You keep control – transparent hours or clear project price, depending on the project.

Typical mistakes I avoid: design without conversion goal, tools without real user value, SEO as afterthought, hosting decisions without maintainability. Better: goal first, then interaction, then tech – in that order you get a website that works instead of only looking good.

Accessibility, clear typography, and understandable language are part of quality – not just nice to have. They improve usage and often findability too. Forms, error messages, and success states belong in the concept because that's where inquiries are made or lost.

I plan interfaces pragmatically: newsletter, CRM, scheduling tools, payment providers – only as far as needed. Every integration increases complexity; better fewer clean connections than an integration patchwork.

After go-live I document what you can maintain yourself and where you need me. That keeps the site actionable even when no developer sprint is running. Further development happens in sensible packages instead of permanent firefighting.
